SPLASH AND BURN
I'm not so sure if this will work. I did paint this collage/painting at the time I was doing those swimming-pool photoshop things. I wasn't happy with it but decided to be brave and share - so that when I finally really get to grips with paint, you will be able to see that I have made progress. Hur hur. I scanned it in and was really pleased to see all the thick paint and blobs showing... but too huge - around 100MB - I reduced the size of the picture via the scanner and Photoshop but it was still too large to upload to Blogger. I have had to save it as four smaller pieces and then reduce quality to Medium... and not sure how this will work on here. Ah me. So here it is, mixed media, printout of photoshopped photo, collage painted over in acrylics (I think the paints are almost as old as the photograph was! )

Oh, how lovely Frances, the way you were going on about it, I was expecting something hideous, but this is quite nice. You must keep painting and experimenting. We now know you are good at downloading! Please continue to share so we can follow your progress. I think that this is what this blog is all about, isn't it? I very much like the blend of reds on the bottom. I think we need some input here from some real artists who can express themselves better.
These have the feeling of swirling and movement underwater as you are surfacing after a dive. You have captured lots of movement and energy.
